Review of a presentation to Friends of
Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford

"Believing that the better the photograph, the fewer
the words required to illuminate a subject, Paul Harris
dazzled a capacity audience with colour slides of
astounding impact.

His photographs showed that he has the rare quality
of successfully combining the reportage genre with
aesthetic style. Brilliant colour and form from Tribal
tattoed faces, ritual flower garlands, Jaipur's Palace
of the Winds and everywhere 'the smell of India' . . .

Paul drew back the curtain of the obvious to reveal
detail of this rich culture.
